Bio
Daniel Heyman, a painter and printmaker, earned his MFA from University of Pennsylvania and BFA from Dartmouth College. He shows regularly at 55 Mercer Gallery in NY and Schoolhouse Gallery in MA. He has also exhibited at Dolan/Maxwell Gallery and Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial, Philadelphia; Gallery 483 in, Australia; the Portland (ME) Museum of Art; and the Butler Institute of Contemporary Art. He has been awarded a Professional Development Grant from RISD, a James B. Reynolds International Fellowship from Dartmouth College and residencies including the Nagasawa Art Park Printmaking Program. His work has been reviewed by The International Inquire, City Paper, Philadelphia Weekly, Artblog, The New York Times, and The Sydney Morning Herald. As a teacher, Heyman has lectured widely, often given demonstrations of Japanese printmaking techniques, and has taught at institutions including the Rhode Island School of Design, Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia University, and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
